4.2.2003 – 1.Sport achievments
As well as years before, in 2002 our students took part in many competitions organized by Czech Taekwon-do ITF Federation. In international matches, Sonkal was represented by four of us, also members of Czech national team - Tomáš Bobek a Hoang Quang Huy in senior cathegory, Barbora Sýkorová and Linda Deutchová in juniors. These 4 took part in Slovenia Open, Germany Open, International match Czech-Poland-Sweden-Ukraine, Europe championship (Czech Republic) a Junior World championship (Puerto Rico).
As our the most important sport achievments gotten in 2002, we consider:
Sonkal got 5th place in results for The most succesful taekwon-do school (6th place in 2001) and we may proudly say, that we belong to the best taekwon-do schools in Czech republic (results for members´ medals gotten in sport events).
Although comparing with year 2001, we took part in smaller number of competitions (13), we were able to got lot of medal posts in competitions of all kinds (regional, territorial, national, international, europe- or world- championships). These are our medal statistics divided according to age cathegories:
This year we are going to take part, as always, in competition organized by Czech Taekwon-do ITF Federation. Our students, who are members of national team will fight at Germany Open, Juniors and Seniors European championship and Seniors World championship.
We has continued in buying training equipment – in year 2002 we have bought 2 posts for power breaking (wirok) and enough plastic boards for this. We take one of this posts on every training camp we have, where we frequently use it for individual training.
Spring and autumn training camps (thursday afternoon-sunday evening) took place in ,for all of Sonkal taekwondists, well-known Frýdštejn. Visit of Aquapark in Liberec was added to autumn training camp´s time schedule. Both young and old enjoy this add up !!!
We found new location for summer camp – Radvanice near to Adršpasko-teplické rocks. Regarding weather and training plan we have trained in primary school gym or in nature during this challenging 10-days. About 50 taekwondoists between 7-32 years old took part in our training camps.
This year we are going to organize 2 week-end´s camps and one long-term training camp in summer. During April´s Easter holidays we are planning 5-days camp in Radvanice. In second half of August we will spend 12 days in Malé Svatoňovice (near to Radvanice). Because of summer trainig camp we provide new avalaible way of paying – enlisting on internet and paying by bank transfer. Registration will be avalaible during the March. More about autumn camp will we plan based on sport events plan for second half of 2003.
We are using functions provided by server NAVRCHOLU for long time to summarize stats about our website. During 2002 pagewievs per 1 day record has been broken for few times. Firstly after European championship (more than 5000), then in September record was on 11.000 pagewievs (looked like „unbreakable“ record) and then pagewievs per day record ended in 12th December on 13961 pagewievs (after VI. Juniors World championship - check photogallery).
Facts from NAVRCHOLU server:
These great stats are main result of our rich photogallery and its design and engine. We have more than 5500 martial art photos and 80 videos.
We added great new made by Sonkal in second half of 2002 – completely described patterns from Saju Jirugi to Ge-Baek including photos of every technique. It´s really comfortable and you may see each technique from 4 directions. This year we want to add patterns Eui-Am, Choong-Jang and Juche. Then video from Saju Jirugi to Juche, photos of kicks , stances, attacking and blocking tools and more useful things for taekwon-do studies. Of course videos and photos from European championship in croatian Rijeka and Senior World championship, which will take place in Warzsava (Poland) will be avalaible. Look forward to photos from national competitions organized by Czech Taekwondo ITF Federation.
Although number of black belts in Sonkal is still the same, Pavel Bareš passed exams for second degree (II.Dan). So now, at the beggining of 2003 three holders of II.dan and four holders of I.Dan are practicing taekwon-do in Sonkal. Two taekwondoists from Sonkal applies for first degree (Linda Deutschová and Martin Svitek) test this year. We hope that this number will be increased during year.
