Photos from visit of Czech Summer Challenge
Ondřej Vrábel, 5.8.2008 – Brand new event named Czech Summer Challenge, organized by Czech national team members, took place at Třeboň (July 27 – August 2). Despite of fact that it was first event of this kind, foreign taekwondists took part so main idea of organizing international camp came true.
This camp was focused on sport part of our martial art through intensive trainings. Trainings composed of conditioning, patterns, special techniques, power breaking and especially sparring were hard test for all participants. One day was dedicated to trainings led by successful kickboxing competitors (Mgr. Petr Kotík, Ivo Zubatý and Marek Svitek) to improve hand techniques and broaden knowledge of fighting.
Three Sonkals (Monika Junová, Tomáš Vodička and Ota Kotrhonz) had opportunity to train whole Saturday. All of them got hard trainings, lot of new experiences and new motivation. First training, focused on patterns, was instructed by Doctor Rostislav Kaňka, V. Dan, former national team head-coach. Afternoon sparring drill was led by Honza Klaška, who has plenty of experiences in both taekwon-do and kickboxing.
Because life is not only about training, organizers prepared great supporting programme for all participants (together 50 people took party even for few trainings) and all of them were royal satisfied. We hope that this event will continue its existence and we are looking forward to Czech Summer Challenge 2!
